Gold Coin Collecting

I have long hair and I'm cutting it short, but I need to buy the right brush before cutting my hair. I don't know what type of brush to buy, I searched a bunch of websites who only described the importance of the right brush, but not what type to buy. I will have short hair, and I will get bangs, and my hair is not actually thin, but it is damaged because it's falling out. Also sometimes after I brush my hair it's dry, but the majority of the times my hair is oily the next day after I wash it. I'm a teenager if that makes a difference. I just need a normal brush to brush my hair, and I was thinking either a boar brush, or a boar and nylon brush.
P.S- Some people have hair that is too thick for combs. Thus, a brush is sometimes a necessity.
